against the means of men
and all their oppressive organs,
against the fantasy life that seems
to have inspired some lurid assault
on her - or someone very close.

the vulgar depictions, the nicknames
gleaned from schoolyards past,
littered her passionate missive,
the tone of which left me resentful,
wanting to blame her for such a
bitter, blatant over-generalization,
while still retaining indignation
for the men who inspired it.
