exchanging glances

we pass in the night,
adrift like human vessels
craving connection

If only we knew who “the needy” were as we pass, we could make each other very happy.

Good point, but it seems we've been conditioned from an early age to
disguise our needy-ness. Which, while it may be a bit self-defeating,
makes us seem a lot better off (on the surface).

    Being needy is
something we do not like to
    talk about out loud.

    definitely a worthy response

Indeed. We spend a lot of time and energy looking for ways to fill the void that non-connection leaves.

    Nicely done!
