smoke and broken mirrors

I’m nothing to you,
just a myth you won’t believe

Beautiful. But sad. I can really relate to it, and I wish I didn't. And I wish you didn't either.

I have the re-entered ex, who I swear adores me IN THEORY, and gets a bad case of twitches whenever I act like me, from the biting on the tongue longing to stop me. I serioisly am doubting he likes actual me, just feels too grateful to express it (and not wanting me to kick him too, I bet)

People who don't think we are nothing are way more fun. And they are the one we tend to like best antyway (especially once we survive their smoke & mirrrs.

i can almost completely relate to that — some people go through the motions of letting you in without every really accepting you.

but sadly, i think some people don't know how to do it any other way.
