penciled-in people
I penciled this one in last night on coldpress cardstock
we were penciled in,
but given the ambition
to be etched in stone

Mondays
Mondays are usually new beginnings, with tons of new things to be done on the tail end of the week it follows. This Monday, even more so, and not just because I moved the bulk of my belongings over the weekend.
Today is a one-day offering of a three-pack of Analog Impulse note cards on Etsy. For five bucks, it’s a three-pack of the cards with standard shipping included for U.S. orders. Some people have asked about smaller servings of the cards, like single and three-packs. So I’m accommodating, and trying to figure out if it’s a efficient way of selling online. Etsy, as an outlet, hasn’t been very effective for me. Pretty much all of my sales have been through the Analog Impulse site, but I don’t want to walk away from other options like Etsy just yet. And it may not help Etsy sales, but if you miss the one-day Etsy deal, tomorrow is the Tuesday Trio – essentially the same deal as on Etsy, but without free shipping thrown in.
Today is also the one-weekiversary of the first post on Scenes & Words – a neat little project conceived by Spencer Lewis that pairs writers with photographers to put up (for now) a weekly post that contains words and images together. I was honored to be asked when it came up, and the results so far have been invigorating for me. We currently have two photog/writer teams. My shutterbug partner Dawn and I co-authored the inaugural post last week, and Spencer and Kenny have followed it up with today’s offering. New posts go up every Monday, and we’d love a little company over there. Please check it out.

all heroism
is a matter of sharing
what we’ve been given
Last week, I posted the first haiku in a series about something I refer to as “elemental heroism.” Here’s the second one. (I’m linking to all the haiku on this subject with the tag elemental heroism.)
